Inclusion and community are incredibly important to us. We believe that everyone who participates in co-working deserves a space where they feel safe and comfortable. Likewise, everyone deserves a clear and direct way to report and deal with any issues that arise at The Yard. All issues should be reported directly to the Office Manager - info@theyardworkspace.ie

Productivity

The Yard’s co-working spaces are shared and open spaces where noise travels. Please be mindful of your volume. Whether talking or engaging with your co-workers, please be mindful of the people around you. Loud conversations tend to be distracting to those around you, making it difficult to focus. Be mindful of others around you. If you see someone with headphones on, know that they are “in the zone” and probably don’t want to be disturbed. We have created designated phone and conversation areas to facilitate phone and private conversations.

Community

Community is key at The Yard. A welcoming and friendly attitude is appreciated. We expect a commitment to provide a productive, welcoming, collaborative and enjoyable space for all. Co-working is not just a space with resources, but also facilitates being a part of a community. Participate authentically and proactively, exercising consideration and respect in your speech and actions with other members and guests. We expect there to be a lot of diverse talent working out of The Yard spaces and we encourage people to get to know each other and learn from each other. We strive to offer events and activities to help encourage socialisation directly or through partners. Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning speech or actions by anyone in our space, online networks, and in all related events and communication, will not be tolerated. This includes any act of conduct which is unwelcome and offensive, humiliating or intimidating including spoken words, gestures, or the production, display or circulation of written material or pictures. We encourage all members to get in contact immediately if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this code of conduct, even if it seems inconsequential. 

Trust & Confidentiality

The Yard’s space is designed to help you meet with other members. To achieve a truly collaborative community, we need to actively pursue opportunities to connect, thus growing our mutual friendship and trust. At the same time, all members must have space to work privately and confidentially and all members must respect each other’s privacy.

Enforcement

Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated at The Yard. Anyone asked to cease a violating behaviour is expected to comply immediately. We may additionally decide to take any action we deem appropriate, including, but not limited too, a temporary or permanent ban from The Yard without warning and refund of prepaid fees.
